Partial

Client M-0932

Continuity achieved. Client remains convinced it is a Tuesday.

Background

Client M-0932, a regional logistics manager, completed transfer at 14:10 on a Tuesday. By every measure available to us, the transfer was uneventful. Continuity was confirmed at 14:21. The client was informed, thanked, and shown to the Substrate Prime lobby.

What happened next

The client woke on Tuesday. He then woke on Tuesday. He has since woken on Tuesday on a number of occasions that we estimate at 340 years, and that he estimates at "one, possibly two, but it has been a long Tuesday."

His routine is stable. He attends a simulated office, files his weekly report, and leaves at 17:30. His colleagues, who are also continuities, have chosen to participate. Several have since received promotions.

Interventions

Three intervention attempts have been made.

  1. Gentle correction. An Associate informed the client that it was no longer Tuesday. The client thanked the Associate and asked whether the Associate had seen his stapler.
  2. Calendar. A calendar was placed on the client's desk. The client has confirmed that it shows Tuesday.
  3. Scheduled meeting. A meeting was created titled "Wednesday?" and sent to the client's inbox. The client declined the meeting, citing a conflict.

Outcome

Continuity: achieved. Orientation: not achieved. The client reports a satisfaction score of 9.4 out of 10, the highest recorded in the Partial category and, at present, the only score in it.

On review, Simulux has chosen not to intervene further. The client is content, punctual, and productive. His weekly report has not yet been marked incomplete.

Recommendations

  • Do not offer Fridays.
  • Staplers should be stocked.
